We left Barksdale on the way to Glendale, with an intermediate stop planned in Lubbock to rest and play golf.
The Alamo, John Wayne, Long Horn Cows, Oil Wells and Wind Mills. Miles and miles of Texas. What Texas is all about.
Once, when I was a young pilot I flew a helicopter from Arizona to Alabama for the Alabama State Troopers. It was a three day trip. I left Tucson and flew across Arizona, New Mexico to Texas. The next day I flew across Texas. The third day I flew across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Texas is a big state.
Linda and I left Shreveport this morning and crossed into Texas. I called my brother and told him I had good news and bad news. We were in Texas but I was on one side of Texas and he was on the other side. We would get there late in the evening.
Pat and Larry are grand babysitting. We are staying at my niece's house. My grand niece, Ashleigh, assisted me with my spelling and capitalization. (She is 10)
