Linda and I started out this afternoon from Auburn and drove to Barksdale AFB. There is something comforting about being staying in the BOQ, with a B52 running its engines next door. (The original gated community). We had an uneventful trip. We listened to the Sugar Bowl on the radio for the first 3 quarters and got to our room to watch the 4Th quarter.
Deer in my back yard(Nothing to do with the trip) We are interested in wildlife, also.
Every one says this is a "trip" of a life time. I hope they are wrong. There are other trips, but we shall enjoy this one.
We'll leave here tomorrow and go to Lubbock, TX to see my brother and sister-in-law. Larry and Pat are taking care of their grandchildren. We will play golf on Thursday and travel to Cloud Croft, NM on Friday. Larry said we should stay there. So we shall.
